Rough night

Postby Ciso_B » Sat Oct 10, 2009 2:56 am GMT

So things been going well since i moved over to ftp, I came 2nd earlier this week for $4,400 in a mtt,(only been playin 1 or 2 a night), while making steady money at cash games.

Then tonight just gone, had it really really rough, it's so annoying when you drop alot of money in situations you cant do anything about. I not gonna go on a big whiney rant. I ll just show my graph so you can see. Notice the "EV " line, where i should be, quite a difference eh. I wish i was lucky.

another awful night, I took a shot and 2 tabled nl 200 for a bit, deep tables too and was doin okayish without ever finding a good hand, then after 2/3 hours i finally got QQ ,3bet it and AhQh2h...he had KJh...so brutal. Back to nl 100, hopefully the coolers and sick beats go, I'm learning not to be happy and tell people when u do wel at cash now, cos im doing awfully last few days :(

It's not easy deciding in any given night, whether to play tourneys or cash. 14.4k hands now at nl100..going well overall despite some blips, which for most part have felt unavoidable.

Ciso, turn off that damn EV graph. I'm serious. It means nothing. That sample size is pathetically small when it comes to the long run. Most of us will never reach that long run. Just concentrate on making the right decisions. That's the beauty of cash games, just get your money in good, your tournament life is never on the line. Don't even watch the board run out, just move on to the next hand.

You might think I'm joking. I'm not. Turn that stupid thing off for good, and concentrate on the green line.
