Re-raising pf deep in a $4.40 180 seater sng.
27 players left, 18 get paid. My notes say the villain is aggressive. I've observed him for around around 15 hands and he's already made a pfr of 3xbb twice. He also re-raised my 3xbb pfr around 12 hands ago. I folded. Knowing he is aggressive, is this a good time to re-raise? (I'm thinking he's more likely to have junk compared to a tight player who would only raise with a better selection of hands)?????

Re: Re-raising pf deep in a $4.40 180 seater sng.
So, in the later stages of these 180 seater sng's, i feel I am losing out because too many players are making re-raises. Time and time again, I am just folding pre-flop because of the amount of action in front of me. It also seems that the guys re-reaising are the ones that go deep, so I figure it is something i should add to my game.
How do I handle this stage of the tourney then? Am I calling these raises with weaker hands, or am trying to get in on the 'train to re-reaise-ville'?

Think about his bet size versus his overall stack before debating whether a push with a bottom 25% hand is worthwhile. Villain just invested 1/4th of his stack on that bet. Highly unlikely he's going to fold to your 3-bet shove.

I wouldn't say raising twice pf in 15 hands is too aggressive, that's pretty standard.

You are right in needing to be aggressive, but you have to have SOMETHING. Christ, 56 off?! If he raised twice in 15 hands pf, then he probably had at least top 10% to 20% starting hands. 56 off is in the BOTTOM 20%. Study your top starting hands and have a minimum of a top 20% hand to take the action you are thinking of. Also, blinds about to eat you....gonna have to go all in soon.
