Vegas trip lineup.
Good morning. I'm a long time ago poster, and was wanting some input on my upcoming trip to Mecca. Here is my proposed schedule.
Nov 1. Fly in at 6:00 pm. 7:00 Caesars tourney
Nov 2. Golf in the AM, 7:00 Caesars tourney
Nov 3. V deep stack
Nov 4. Cash games at ?????
Nov 5. Cash games at ????? Pick up wife at airport 6:00. No more poker. Boooooo!!!
Nov 6. Shopping? Ugh.
Nov 7. Who knows.
Nov 8 fly home
I will be staying with a buddy who lives near Red Rocks until the wife shows up, then it's off to the Four Seasons.
Thoughts??

Re: Vegas trip lineup.
if you fly in at 6pm, you'll never make the 7pm caesars tourney. although they now allow late signups up until the first break, and re-entries (not rebuys) if you bust out.
late entry chip deduction works a little different than how it's commonly done in tourneys- their new way is more beneficial to the player now- late signups post just as if you missed your blinds in a cash game- post a dead SB, and a live BB, that's your only penalty for coming in late. even if your late entry seat is already assigned to the BB, you still have to post a dead SB tho.
RedRock has a nice poker room, but I've gotten some flaky rulings there, and the games have definitely changed- used to be a fishermans paradise, now its just a bunch of rocks, so I hear. haven't played there in 2+ years now, dont think I'll be playing there anytime soon again

Re: Vegas trip lineup.
I love the nightly Caesar's tourney and the TD there is a good dude. The V tourneys are always good so I think your tourney line up is all good.
In terms of cash, I like the Mirage best personally, especially as they'll lay a HORSE game on if you ask. You will always get enough interest to start the game and it's always fun as hell even if hi/lo games are the dumbest way to try and make money with a rake.
