odds 2 players with pairs?

freind just asked me, whats the odds if i have a pair that another player has one? my intuition is that is doesnt mater that i have a pair. so whats the deal?

there is 78 combos of pairs ,
if u have a pair , there is 73 combos of pairs left
if u have 2 cards that are not the same he has 72 combos of pairs left

so pretty much if u hold a PP its a tiny bit more likely he also has it :p

The odds of flopping 2 pair 48.5:1 or 2%, this doesn't include a pair on the board.
