AT facing a re-raise

Postby jimmer » Sun May 23, 2010 6:57 pm GMT

22 players left - 18 get paid.

Been sat at the table for 10'ish rounds. AKvicenteKA has shown a balanced game, sometimes folding to a button or sb raise and sometimes re-raising or calling.

I'm guessing my preflop raise was ok, but do i call the all-in?

AT facing a re-raise

Postby jimmer » Mon May 24, 2010 4:07 am GMT

No need to answer this question for me guys. I've answered the question myself via analysing my HH.

I should have got my chips in the middle.

"I should have got my chips in the middle."

How do you figure that?

after all you said about the player my first intention was to fold.. and i still think its the best play in this situation.. maybe you should learn to make you decisions before the hand plays out.. Especially at this stage of a MTT, where most of the play is Preflop, you should know what you're doing before even raising.. Makes live at the table a lot easier :D :D

Good luck in the future :spade:

I don't see how it would be possible to call and feel good about it. As you said, the player was balanced, so why would you suspect he would go all-in with anything less than A10? I think he's got at least AK or any pocket pair above 6. Busting out of a tournament with A10 against a player who isn't crazy would leave you miserable for at least a few days.
