Cashing in the Main Event
I imagine it's quite a madhouse. Anyone have experience, either through actually cashing, or being in Vegas for it?
While watching this year's coverage, they showed one of the Mizrachi brothers busting, then going over to see how one of the other brothers was faring.
Of course, this is edited for television, so there's no telling the time gap between the two shots, but it got me to thinking.
Let's say you bust while there's still hundreds left in the tournament, and happen to notice there's a pay jump in just a few more spots. With that many people roaming around, I wonder if you could take your time getting to the cage and pick up a few bucks that you really didn't earn.

Re: Cashing in the Main Event
There are a lot of tournament directors covering a small section of the room and they note down bustouts as they happen which is why dealers shout "All-in and a call". That shout is not just for the ESPN cameras!
My guess is that all the time the tourney is not running H4H, the floormen will note the bust out time so that when people get to the cage, the order can be noted and the payouts made accordingly.
Can anyone clarify that?

tournament is sick...and many pros will tell you the field is as soft as any tournament they have played...<10% pay 10k entry ...almost all are satalited in or staked.

I've noted a couple of times in the TV coverage a floor man was noting something on a slip which he gave to the player and I saw (might have been a different year) a celebrity player at a cashier cage handing a slip over. Without knowing any more than this I'd be willing to bet that the tourny operators have thought of this angle and covered it somehow.
