Postby Malika9 » Fri Sep 09, 2011 3:49 pm GMT

i am 23 and have played poker texas hold em for 2 weeks i have got 5 books and i am reading them at the moment. i seem to make

money on the cheap tables but when i move up in cost of the tables i lose all my profits.

can a pro give me some advise cos i am bored of making money on horse betting, (i make £800 a week), i really like playing poker.

can i have some advise of any sofware to use to help my game or anything anyone can suggest. i am getting a little bored of the

books they are massive. should i wait till i read books or what?

Keep playing your low limit until you can beat it with ease. Then build your bankroll a bit to handle the next level and learn how to beat that. Also, dont try to skip levels. Poker is a journey, and it will take a lot if dedication and effort to get to "pro" status. You can do it if you put in the time.

What books are you reading btw?

Crack is right. I would suggest 3-4 weeks at least before going pro.

Texas hold-em is a great game for bad poker players and a bad game for great poker players. In other words, Texas hold-em sucks as a poker game! Stud is poker but it takes skill to beat it. Hold-em is just like playing show-down where any village idiot can win 10% of the pots. Stick to what you can beat. BobinVegas.
