Incorrect winner
Recently played a local tournament, all friendly taking in turns of dealer, I'm all in with a pair of fives in hand angainst ace jack, cards turned over on table for all to see.
Flop is 5 7 A, turn 10, final table so all excited when dealer turns over an ace on the rive giving the other guy trip aces, lost concentration and thinking that I only had trip fives get up and walk away, five minutes later realised that I had a full house with fives over aces.
Was all in so new pretty much knew what the pot was, but the game carried on as the other guy was quite happy to keep the chips!
What is the official line on this? Do I loose because I walked away not realising my hand, or should the chips have been given over?

What was the other guys second card? Are you sure he didn't have a full house too?
Either way, it's on you to know what you have before the pot is awarded.
