Odds of a flush when holding suited cards pre flop....

Postby m3racer » Fri Sep 03, 2004 1:29 am GMT

What are the odds of a flush when holding ANY 2 suited cards pre flop. Someone tonight told me they play ANY suited cards since its a 40% chance of a flush pre flop. I thought it was 38% or so only after the flop gives you 4 suited. Im just lookin for the % pre flop of getting the flush if holding the 2 suited cards...

7% pre-flop. 33% post-flop if you hit 4 to your flush. So you tell that guy to keep playing those suited cards so that he can pay you off :)

m3racer, its true that its about 33 percent when you hit 4 to a flush, but if youre getting 3 to 1 on your money in the pot, then its always worth a call for the flush

if you have same-suited holdcards:
it's 117.8 to 1 against flopping a flush!
it's 8.2 to 1 against flopping a 4flush! :?

At ub be...it's more like a coin flop...lol...
