"Chips" as a forum category?

Postby Adamm » Thu Jan 29, 2004 7:32 pm GMT

Hello.
I hope I'm not breaching any confidences with Geno or mindgame by posting this! Geno sent me a message today that mindgame sent to him...

From mindgame:

"Geno, maybe you're the guy to suggest this to. Every couple weeks we get questions about chips. Places to get them, how many, what colors, what breakdown...
And a lot of time we go over the same info again and again....
Now I'm a chip collector. I LOVE chips. I can talk about them until the sun comes up. But I doubt very much than many share this facination. Yet the questions keep coming...and have almost nothing to do with poker.
So how about you set aside a section and gather all the chip posts in it? Once they're all together people are likely to read them and find out what they want to know. And more questions can be fielded by those of us who find the topic interesting (weird though we may be)...and we won't bother the rest of the board."

Sounds like a good idea, maybe u could set up a chip forum and even have him moderate it? I will happily do it of course but it might be nice for him as he's such an enthusiast it seems!

- Andy

Plus it doesn't hurt to try and organize the clutter that is our forum. So there you have it! New forum category! Sorry if the moving of various posts screwed anyone up.
Only one question: mindgame, you wanna moderate this? Only requirement is that if someone posts an ad you have to get even nastier than Geno does. :)

P.S! If anyone notices any chip topics that I missed, lemme know and I'll move 'em here.
