Pacific Poker
How legit is this site? I notice when researching it that I turn up a number of sites with similar naming conventions, fonts, and graphics that contain almost the exact same review of Pacific . . ."P.P. Is one of our favorite online gambling rooms because . . . " and then it typically goes on to mention low limit tables, etc .. . features aimed at the beginner . . . am I right to wonder? Or too paranoid . . .

It's a legit site. I've downloaded their software and gave it a look over. I've even seen a few people, when it shows the early tables at the WSOP, wearing PP shirts and hats which means they won a seat there by playing at the site. There's getting to be so many it is hard to tell but the ones you hear about a lot are usually ok. Hell, look at the banners on the left of this forum.

I've been playing at Pacific Poker for about 4 months now. I've deposited and withdrawn $$ with no trouble. I've never seen anything on there about WSOP sat. or whatnot.. They just added tourneys and sit&gos on Dec 31. Currently, there is no NL play at Pacific Poker, so I also play at PokerStars for NL play.
If you noticed in last year's WSOP, Dan Harrington (3rd place to Farha and Moneymaker) was wearing a green cap with www.888.com on it. Well, that is shortcut for "casino on the net" which runs Pacific Poker. It definately is a ligit site. Lot's of low limit tables with lots of beginners..
