Poker Table inserts

Postby tomsmith22 » Wed Mar 03, 2004 8:30 pm GMT

New to the site and goping to get some help. I am in the process of getting supplies to build my own hold'em table. Does anybody know where you can get the plastic inserts you see in all the table top and full tables. You know the ones that hold a drink and then chips as well. I have been able to find every poker accessory you could ever want and some you would never want but can not find where you can buy these. I have searched dozens of sites.Let me clarify as well I want to buy just them not a whole table top. Just the plastic insert drink/chip holders. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are some good threads here about building tables and most of them talk about using wood instead the inserts and cutting a hole with something under it for cup holder. If you're wanting to build a nice table why use plastic inserts? If it's just a topper then I see what you mean but if you want something that is really nice then routed chip holders are the way to go.

I've seen sites that sell the chip trays for the DEALER, that hold 1000 chips and drop into a square cut-out in the table. Here's a site that seems to have found and catagorized every poker site on the net:

pokerportal.co.uk

If that won't get you there try entering pokerportal on google. Check the listings on poker supplies and you can find just about anything.

As for drink cups, I'd recommend you avoid the kind that drop into the table anyway. I play at one casino that uses them in cut-outs on the edge pad of the table and I hate them...they alway seem to put your drink in the way. I really, really prefer the drink holders that slide under the edge cushion. You can put them anywhere you like, and when you aren't drinking they're gone and out of the way. They are fairly easy to find and they only cost a couple bucks.

My father is a very skilled woodworker- built most of the furniture in the house. I jokingly challenged him to build a hold 'em table.

Now I know not to joke. I'm looking for plans to build a table.

Care to share your dimensions?

you can go here http://www.casinosupply.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=DH1

They have all kinds of stuff for your table. They also have another section that has chip holders that fit into tables.

I have seen the drink holders before but again I am looking for the combo chip drink holders. I have looked at the option of routing out the edge of the table myself for a chip holder but I like the idea of haveing those inserts. I guess maybe just so there is no question of who's chips are who's also just for asthetics. More of a proffesional look. Someone must sell them.

Am I the only one that thinks it's stupid that it holds 92 chips and not 100? I mean really...
