William Hill Poker?

Postby Hawk_1MG » Mon Mar 01, 2004 7:44 pm GMT

Anyone else play there?

The graphics and game aren't bad. Play is decent, and they pay you to play. Warning, they play in British pounds. So I joined a 1/2 game but it's really a 2/4 game approx. The site invited meto play a 2/4 and make bonus dollars if I stayed there for an hour or more so I did. Not realizing I was now playing 4/8 US LOL. Still there on that table, and doing quite well I might add. Hope to see some you there!

You get paid a certain amount of money per hour up to 4 or 5 hours of play a month. This is also based on playing in 2/4 or better games. The higher the game the more they pay. You'd have to see the website. I'm not promoting it, I found it at poker-listings and tried it because it had a soft competition rating of 8.

Hope this helps,

Since the site is based in the UK, ssems to attract alot of Brits. They are a riot to play with. Just imagine an accent when you read what they type and you'll be rolling. It's bugger this and cheers mate. I got a kick outa the whole thing.

These guys chase....chase, chase, and chase. After the flop, you can say I have a pair of jacks with a King kicker, and they'll reply RAISE I have an Ace! It's really bizarre. I've been playing really tight, and then raising and reraising when I have something and have quadrupled my buy in in the last few hours.

3 suited on the river, they call all the way to the end, never thinking that you have a flush. It messes with your head, because you really think they have someting, and it's high card King.

i didn't want to mention their name in my rant post about customer service... but since you brought it up, these are the guys!

the idiot on the other end of the chat would NOT answer my questions. kept telling me to register and look for myself. i kept telling him that my decision as to whether or not to register would be based on the answer to my question... and STILL he wouldn ot answer.

the game play might be okay... the software might be spiffy... buy anyone who plays there better HOPE they never need any customer service.

Oh my god the Customer services are dire. However, this is not William Hill. It's one of those sites where lots of companies use the same software and network. YOu also have Intercasino, Littlewoods and some others. The William Hill people are very helpful on the whole.

But all that Keats said is true.

The best thing about it though is us Brits! Definately worth a look but the tourneys are shite and there's no No Limit or Pot Limit.
