Dream Chip set...
Here's my dream chip set...which I am SO far from affording ( :D )
These chips: http://www.5stardeal.com/deals/10Expand ... 10-1090-1k
350 White chips (10 cent)
250 Red chips (25 cent)
175 Green chips (50 cent)
125 Black chips ($1)
75 Pink chips ($2)
25 Purple chips ($5)
Total: 1000 chips
Granted, me and my buddies only play $10 buy-in (14 years old=not much money). But still...If I had $200 to spend on poker chips, I would be all over these. Oh well...my theory is that if I can deposit, say, $50 in UltimateBet and make $200 more, then I'm ready to buy the chips. :D
Wish me luck!

We have 300 of those chips. The feel of them... og... lovely.
5 star deal is definately the best place to go.
Save up pocket change. Trust me, it takes patience, and most teenagers don't realize it, but pocket change can be a powerful entity. Every 3 months I cash out all my pocket change in the nearest coinstar, and usually leave with 80 bucks.
If you want money making schemes for a 14 year old PM me and I'll help

Man I'm evil!

It may just be me but those color/denominations seem kinda strange to me. I don't really see the purpose in even having $2 chips if you have $1 and $5 chips. Same goes for 50 cent chips. If you have quarter chips and $1 chips, how useful can 50 cent chips really be? Not that I'm saying this is bad or anything, it just seems overly complex to have so many values that are so close to each other.
The chips themselves are pretty decent. I have that set in 400 black, 400 red and 200 purple. Of those three colors that I have the black are by far the best. The purple is pretty good and the red is ok, not as good as black, but both go really well with the black and it looks nice as a set.
Personally I'm curious what a Black/Green/Yellow or Black/Green/Purple combo would look like. I'm tempted to order a few of every color they have just to see what the different color combos look like.
