Yeah they definately need some oiling.

There is the traditional "break them in naturally" belief out there, which I would think is cool but those chips in your review shine compared to mine. I think it would take many years of some greaseballs attending my games to get them to look like that.

Besides could the oil actually protect the chips like a set of boots? You would think so.

I think it can act as protection on other chips but (correct me if I'm wrong) it seems like to me TRK's inlay basically covers the entire chip except for the rolling edge. If I'm right then the oil really isn’t going to soak in to them. It will still adjust the color and change the feel slightly but only due to residue. It’s not doing the same thing as with BC or Paulson...
