Royal Plastic Cards

Postby sfbennett1 » Tue May 10, 2005 4:46 am GMT

Anybody ever used these or know if they're any good? My friends have been playing poker for about 2 years now and have gone through probably 50 decks of paper cards so I was thinking of getting some plastic ones ... Dal Negro/Copag/Kem were obviously the first places I looked, but these are MUCH cheaper (6 decks for ~15 bucks shipped) so I thought I might give them a try first. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Don't bother. They look cheap as well as being cheap. In the long run you will save money on plastics over paper - so don't worry about paying a little extra. Copags are really good value and excellent quality. If cost is a factor and you don't want to crash out for Kems or DNs - then copags are your man.

Id go with copags over those. Just remember you get what you pay for.

They suck.

Slippery as hell, flimsy, some cards are warped or are marked...

Spend the extra money for the Copags...

They're better than plastik coated, and they'll last. But you cant throw them worth a damn, they'll flutter etc.

Like previously stated, don't waste your time or money.
They are actually worse than regular paper cards due to the fact that the ink and print on the cards get worn down and go away pretty quickly making them all but useless.

There was a rumor that they also cause cancer and pregnant women should avoid them, so I hear.

Personally, I prefer Dal Negro's over Copag's and the new USPC Kems; they are much more paper like and not nearly as slick as the Copags and Kems.
