4 month wait for pokerchips.com

Postby darrell » Fri Mar 19, 2004 2:15 am GMT

After reviewing a lot of the selections out there, I had finally decided that the clay chips with edge spots from pokerchips.com (http://www.pokerchips.com/chips/chips_styles.html) looked real good. I started out looking at dice and suited chips at about a quarter per. However, I liked the idea of a more natural feel with the finish and inlay associated with clay chips and that 8.5g was fine for that kind of quality. So I upped my budget to $.50 a piece. I may pick up about 600.

I have not received my samples from them yet, but now they say that shipments are backed up til July. 4 months - WTF?

Has anyone received any of these clay chips from pokerchips.com? And are they worth that kind of wait. Or are there any other places offering comparable chips without denominations?

Thanks all.

They are good but not great IMHO... they have some metallic dust mixed in there to add wait that makes them sparkle. Didnt care for that...

I believe that's particles of brass added in to give weight. Check out Nevada Jack's. Theirs are the same. From the advertising I've read, it's the "old-fashioned" way of giving weight to the chip.
