it was one of the first horror books i ever read and I was riveted... Romero really knew how to keep my interest in the mass slaughter that was occurring...

I've stayed away from the movie adaptations though as they always seem to be a bit corny...

Hell. I didn't know there was a book. . . or rather, I thought it was an adaption of the 70s movie. . . the new movie is pretty good. I would have made it a schosh more violent, but I have well documented emotional problems. . . in other news, watched hildalgo the next day, with a towering hangover. . . I found it quite mediocre, with an overwrougt score and a couple of cheesy CGI effects. . . firmly in the rental catagory, esp. if you have a giant TV...
