Odds? They don't work for me.

Postby Tadzio » Sat Aug 27, 2005 6:17 am GMT

Seat 2: XXX1 ($1,450 in chips)
Seat 4: Tadzio($1,570 in chips)
Seat 5: XXX2 ($1,500 in chips)
Seat 6: XXX3 ($1,480 in chips)
Seat 7: Villian ($6,040 in chips)
Seat 9: XXX5 ($1,500 in chips)
Seat 10: XXX6 ($1,460 in chips)

Every single dime the Villian has got has come from suck outs. Each time there's been an all-in, he's called it with the worst hand. After the first 2 times he does it, I already hate him. By the time he does it a 3rd time, I'm beggin' my comp for a hand to slap him around with.

ANTES/BLINDS
XXX1 posts blind ($10), Tadzio posts blind ($20).

Dealt to Tadzio: A  K

Now this is a hand I can raise with.

PRE-FLOP
XXX2 folds,
XXX3 folds,
Villian calls $20,
XXX4 folds,
XXX5 calls $20,
XXX6 folds,
XXX1 calls $10,
Tadzio raises $40 to $60,
Villian calls $40,
XXX5 calls $40,
XXX1 folds.

FLOP [board cards K :spade: ,8  ,9  ]

Pretty nice flop for me, I think.

Tadzio checks,
Villian bets $50,
XXX5 calls $50,
Tadzio raises $200 to $250,
Villian calls $200,
XXX5 calls $200.

TURN [board cards K :spade: ,8  , 9  , J :diamond: ]

Well, at least one of them has a K. One may also be on a QJ heart/straight draw. But is there a KJ? Would K9 or K8 call the PF bet? Pot is $950 and I have $1,260. Aw... I'll go ahead and push. Worst case scenario (one of them has 2 pair), I still have pretty close to even pot odds for this bet.

Tadzio bets $1,260 and is all-in,
Villian calls $1,260,
XXX5 folds.

I'm thinkin', "darn. Let's hope the river saves me." ...except I didn't need the river.

Tadzio shows A  K
Villian shows A :club: J :club:

Hahahahaha, I'm thinkin'! What the hell was he doing in the hand after the flop? Guess he thought he'd suck out on someone again. Well, not this time! He's got 1 out! Count them! 1. One. Singular. Out. He might as well be drawing dead. Serves him right, I think. Then I chuckle, "I'm gonna use these chips he's giving me to take the rest of his stack."

Then hell freezes over, pigs fly, and a monkey shoots out of my ass all at the same time.....

RIVER [board cards K :spade: ,8  ,9  ,J :diamond: ,J :spade: ]
Villian wins $3,470
Tadzio sits out.

J of hearts would be a dead out, due to Tadzio's flush draw.

What's funny is it seems like you're a more solid player than a lot of other people, yet you're playing for play money.

Could it not be a SnG or MTT?

Could be, his other post was about play money though so I assumed this was as well. Doesn't matter though- my compliment still stands.
