pot limit instead of no limit

Postby american mutt » Wed Dec 31, 2003 12:23 pm GMT

How does this work? Is it that the high bet can only equal what
is already in the middle? And if someone reraises, does that
become the new raise limit, what the other guy raised plus the
pot? If anyone knows for sure, please let me know. Thanks.

Everything I've read says that the size of the pot is described as the pot in the middle, all bets on the table, plus the amount the active player must first call before raising. So all that together is the max bet. Any raise after that is the new pot amount.

Yes, I believe you are correct... for instance:

SB = 5
BB = 10

Then the first player can raise (I think) 25 -- the 15 in there and his call of 10.

Now the pot has 50, so the next player can raise 100 -- the 50 + his call.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong..
