And again, the media and the polls had it all wrong. Extremely close election.
I had my doubts about Obama. Then it happened, somehow my gas tank was filled, my mortgage was paid, my wallet was full of $100s and I crapped an actual rainbow this morning. Now I am a believer.
Seriously, I hope he does a good job.

+7 million votes is pushing 1980 landslide proportions.
Really? Reagan won by 10% of the vote. Obama had 1/2 that margin. Reagan won 49-1 in states, Obama won 27 (or so).
Hell, Clinton beat Dole by 8 points in 1996-so you dont even have to go back to 1980 to see a greater margin.
A nice win (52/46), a definate win, but hardly a landslide or mandate. (9
Also significant that is that it was the 1st time since 1976 that a Democrat got over 50% of the vote and the 1st time since 1964 that a Dem got over 51%.

Regardless of political allegiances i don't think anyone can say with a straight face that as individuals McCain/Palin will make a better presidential team.
I hope Obama does a good job and dont see why not, in fact if anything i think he will end up being a far less liberal president than people imagine.

I cant argue with you there on either point.
McCain wasnt even liked by his own party. I dont think anyone on the Republican side wanted to run after Bush this year. I already have a Jindal 2012 bumper sticker.
The question also remains, are Americans ready for Hillary to be on the Supreme Court for the next 30 years?

Believe it or not, there were more than 2 parties running.

You don't see why not? Oh, maybe it's the horrible economic and political plans that he has. Even if they somehow worked perfectly, they would be awful and immoral.

Sounds like the other guy had a great plan as well.
