Presidential Candidate
So, I asked Carson this question and now I ask you the same: Which presidential candidate supports the reversal of the UIGEA? Or rather who would we vote into office that is pro-online poker/gambling?

They generally prefer to worry about things that are actually relevant... vote for Clinton, she's ballin, she'll fix up your health-care system quick-snap.

A crippled economy isn't relevant? Are you purposefully being obtuse or is being supa-like snarky just In these days?

Yes, Ron Paul is the only candidate to specifically address the UIGEA. And yes, he is also completely f*cking nuts. I like that he's anti-interventionist and pro-gambling (well, against restrictions anyway), but it doesn't change the fact that he's a racist kook who doesn't believe there is such a thing as "society."
Fwiw, Obama is the only candidate I've heard admit to playing Poker for money, but any Democrat is likely to sign legislation regulating online Poker and overturning the UIGEA, as all the bills have been coming from Democratic sponsors. Republicans would be likely to overturn the bill to satisfy their moronic religious constituencies, but neither Romney nor McCain really cares as much about the religious nuts as the idiot in the office now.
Democratic Congress + President is the best outlook for online Poker players in the near future. It could change, but that's certainly the way the winds blow now.

Ron Paul doesn't seem that bad. Your classic right winged semi-libertarian type. Easy to portray as loony though because the changes seem so radical. Building down the state power seems like an inevitable rational choice down the road though, we're getting a little docile on what we allow the government to do these days.
Not my cup of tea however. I prefer libertarianism leaning to the left.

Da Brat for Prez!
Can you imagine the debates? He would blow up every few minutes and vow to bomb Canada.
Somebody start figuring out what it takes to get somebody as an official write-in candidate in the general.
