Protective coating for poking chips
Hi,
I have a set of 750 decent poker chips. They are by no means the quality of Nexgen or Paulson's, but they are heavy, 11.5g, easily stackable and look good. They are clay-composite with metal inserts. 40mm. They also have no labels.
The chips are, however, beginning to show minor wear. They have been used a fair amount and I would like to do something to protect them.
I have read that some out-of-factory chips are lacquer coated. Is it a good idea to coat them myself? I have flat lacquer at home. What about glosscotes, varnish or polyurethane?
Any suggestions on a coating solution is appreciated.
Thanks,
Ryan
