I think that's waaaaaay wrong! U need four cards to make a straight, if u hit a pair it's gonna be middling and even if they are suited, u r unlikely to call a pre-flop raise with them unless u r well stacked (or drunk)

OK, I think I know what happened here. Either someone told you this and they misunderstood someone, or you misunderstood someone when they told you this. Q, 7 is known as the "computer hand" or something like that because someone ran calculations and figured out that Q,7 is the exact middle ground in Hold'em Starting hands. It falls right in the middle of A,A and 7,2. (see what kind of useless knowledge you can learn while watching the WPT?)
