Q-Q line...
My assumption this field - is that the calibre of play is mediocre to poor. No notes on the opponent, It's a while after the rebuy hour( 1r1a mtt)... And if he's been watching me at all , he probably think's im an agressive player but not getting out of line.
Here, I have Q-Q, and I've been changing up my bet sizes lately, here i bring it in for 525. I obviously bet flop , and am called by guy in position. I really wasn't sure waht to make of his call, I mean my 1k bet could easily be viewd as a weak c bet ( although I am not a huge proponent of c betting lately multiway), so , it's reasonable to summise he has any pocket pair, aswell as a hand like 89s, AT,a set perhaps? Although I think people here might jsut start betting more.
Anyway, turn brings King, and I could continue the agression , but here, I felt like , I can't expect weak calls when K turns , so I opted to check for pot control and also for the above reason. I could be giving potential free cards, but this is gambling, and if he does check back I just valuebet most rivers neway.
He bets a meagre 1k, and I opt to just call , thinking, I don't want to get married to the hand here, want to keep pot managable.
River bricks pretty much imo. With pot at like 5k, Id don't want to check and have him shove or something, cos I might get stubborn , and he shows up with a set or something. So I do a pretty obvious looking blocker, but im pretty much thinking ppl at this level aren't sophisticated enough to re raise bluff here.
With all this information, how's my line and would you play different?
