Question about card position

Postby pat1971 » Thu Apr 03, 2008 7:42 am GMT

Ok the last state game I played in a friend who plays in my league was at my table.

We were seated at our opening table with 4 wanna be pros.

I think I know the answer to this but ill throw it out there.

My friend was sitting directly to my left and he keeps his cards in front of his chips with his hands on them.

Iput a chip on mine and remove my hands from the table and pretty much everyone else pulls their cards behing their stacks.

I made a bet not realizing that I wasnt heads up because of the little card hiding and didnt say anything until........

One of the so called pros makes a comment to my friend about hiding his cards under his hands and if he continues he will tell the floor person because its illegal.
I have never heard of that before.

So after the break I decided ta stir the proverbial pot. Im on the big blind and I know there are limpers but they all keep their cards behind there chips. So it limps around to me and I make a half assed sweep of the pot in my direction when they all speak up. I say you guys all have your cards hidden and I could make a case for cheating and that you all should be forced to muck.

Whether I could or not would have been interesting. Well my friend and I got them all pretty quick and im sure I made no friends but what would you say in that situation?

If you are in a hand your cards should be visible to the other players. Your friend should adjust how he holds the cards.
