Postby boden12 » Sat May 15, 2004 12:10 am GMT

I have a newb question on straights. Can you have a "wrap around" straight in texas hold em? Ex: KA234

I heard both, want the official...

There are many schools of thought on this, but most of their students become retarded dropouts...so I shall reveal that knowledge which you seek.

Nope.

Yes and no. Aces can be used as low cards to make a 5 high straight. This is the only situation you can do this though, and it only works with aces.

You can have an A2345 straight or straight flush but you can NOT have a KA234 or QKA23 straight as ONLY the ace can be used as a low card and ONLY to make an A2345 straight or straightflush.
