quick question

Postby Northern Hillbilly » Mon Jan 25, 2010 10:40 am GMT

Last night at my weekly game we were down to 5 players SB and BB were low stacked BB had 40 chips SB had 60 blinds were up to 20/40 . They both went all in and lost to dealer.

What happens next I was UTG in this hand so was supposed to be BB next hand. But with both leaving on same hand Would of made me dealer. But I would of skipped both blinds . So what we ended up doing was not moving the button and the dealer of that hand dealt the next 2 hands as well .

Now that gave her a nice advantage of being the dealer 3x in a row. (my idea) Is that correct or should we have done it different.

id say that is correct, imo not missing blinds is more important than someone being button twice

What Jernej said. Never allowed to miss your blinds.

Here's what I think you're saying:

player 1 (dealing)
SB: 60
BB: 40
NH
player 2

Hand plays out, SB and BB bust.

What should've happened next:

player 1 (dealing)
NH: BB
player 2

(i.e., no small blind). Then goes on as normal.

The fact that player 1 is dealing isn't particularly germane (one of the busted players could physically deal the cards), it's her position that gives her the advantage on three straight hands.

Lucky for her, unlucky for you. Sounds like you got it right though.
