Radio Interview with Jamie Gold on Rounders Radio

Postby Dat_Dude » Fri Aug 18, 2006 5:33 pm GMT

This is a link to a very good interview with WSOP ME Champ Jamie Gold.

I can see why people think he is arrogant, but the guy can talk and it is a pretty enthralling listen.

I certainly don't like him coming out and challenging some of Poker's best in a heads up match. Not to be a spoiler, but he said "They might beat me, but they WONT outplay me".

I just heard on the radio that Jamie Gold will NOT be getting his money right away. A judge has ordered it frozen till the outcome of a lawsuit involving Gold. It seems some sort of agreement was made between Gold and another person that could cost Gold half og the $12 mil. he won. It will be interesting to see how this story pans out and it might be a lesson to all who enter the WSOP in the future.

BUMP

Anyone know the outcome? Did Gold have to split the money?

The last I saw, the court case was going forward, but it looked like he would not have to split it.
