every poker site you play on charges rake.
If you sign to a site via affiliate you can receive a percentage of this back .
Rake back is a most. If you plan to play on a site that offer rake back and you don't take it, you are losing money.

totally agree with mr darling.
But don't over play just because you are close to your rakeback bonus. Lots of players either play at higher stakes, thinking they can get it back quicker, or stay in more hands (which they usually fold). In both these cases, there's no point winning a fwe quid on the rakeback if you've blown your whole bankroll trying to get it.
Just play your usual game and look at the rakeback as a bonus.

i know this is good stuff I just don't entirely follow. In the casino I played in the house always took %5 of the hand. are you saying I can get some of that %5 back. Of course you are that seems fairly obvious. what does the bonus # mean. I have seen low as 300 high as 650. From what you just said it would seem low would be better. That is if you can get multipule bounses in one month.

There is no way to get rakeback from a casino, as far as I know. Darling and Jimmer were talking more specifically about online poker sites.
When you're talking about bonus "number" that could mean a lot of things. Number of raked hands? Cash taken before you get the bonus? Clarify?

i was trying to give an example based on what I know. You are right I don't know of a casino that offers rakeback it is a totally new concept by me.
what I mean by bouns number is a # they give as a bonus it is always a cash figure like $300 or $600. I was hoping you could tell me if it was a single bonus you can only get 1 a month or if you could get multipul bonuses in a single month. Also is the cash figure the amount you have to rake or the amount they held from you rake. thanks in advance for the help.

Regarding bonuses, those are usually first deposit bonus, the most common is 100% on your first deposit up to some $ amount, for example $100.
This means that if you deposit $100 the site will give you another $100, these $100 will have to be "cleared" this is usually done by playing some amount of raked hands or gaining a specific amount of "points" and points are given to you depending on the rake you pay ( example you get 1 point for every $1 raked )
Hope this is readable

Rakeback is a different kind of bonus. The "rake" is the percentage cut the site takes from each pot... if you sign up through the right channels you can get a small percentage of THAT percentage rake back in your account every two weeks/month.
