Received PokerStars Cashout Check Today
(This post duplicates a response I made in the post Stars Processing US Cashouts As of 4/28/2011. I thought that receipt of the actual check was worth elevating to a new thread so I did it.)
Larry wrote:I received my cashout from Stars today in the form of a check drawn on "FNB Central Texas" payable in US $ but mailed from Canada. The check is clearly marked "POKERSTARS REFUND CHECK" and the memo has PS letterhead and indicates that it is a cashout of my account.
I'll post if it has any trouble clearing.

At least as far as getting a check in the mail. I still have to see if it clears.

Check Cleared
My PokerStars cashout check seems to have clearned with no trouble. I deposited the check on the 13th of May and it is now the 28th with no indication of any problems from my bank. I am sure I would have seen notice of nonpayment by now if the check hadn't cleared.
I can comfortably report that the cashout process is complete.
I remain convinced that Stars' objective is to ride out the storm and have both the infrastructure and brand name (possibly in a joint venture with a large brick and mortar gaming company) ready to resume operations when an eventual avenue for legalized online poker is established.
