Rehashing the All-In Raise
I'm new here and I've read a couple old posts about calling an all-in raise vs completing the raise. No one gave the answer the way I understand rule to be, so here goes:
No Limit Tournament
Blinds are 500, 1000
UTG raises to 2000
Fold, Fold, Fold
Dealer Button has 2400 left, and goes all-in.
Can SB call the 2400, or does he have to complete the raise to 3000?
The way I understand it is, if the all-in raise is less than 50% of a raise, you can call. 50% or more - you have to complete the raise. Since the 400 reraise is less than 50% of the 1000 minimum, SB can call 2400, as can BB and UTG.
If, however, Dealer Button had gone all in for 2600, SB would have had to complete the raise to 3000.
Is this incorrect?

IF SB calls, its just the 2400. If the reraise is more then 50% of the orginal raise you can reraise on top of that.
If the blinds are 500/1000 and someone goes all in for like lets say 2600, there is never a situation were you complete for 3000. You could reraise on top of that but would hvae to be atleast 4000.
