Rounders Question
Why was KGB and Gramma so insistant on trying to make Mike lose all of his money at the "final showdown", where as if he won (and he did), it just goes straight to them anyways? Did they want to kill him that badly?

Say you and your best friend want to play heads-up, but right now your friend doesn't have cash. You lend him say $100, and you guys play.
Do you want to win?? I mean, if he wins, he gives you the $100 back. If you win, you get the money back, BUT HE STILL OWES YOU. Hell yeah you want to win...

I understand that they want to win, but after they lose, it's like some huge deal. Teddy is freaking out and Gramma is screaming, "what do you mean, that's all!?"
They are having hissy fits. I didn't think "3 stacks of high society" meant so much to Teddy + Gramma.

I think they're so pissed at worm that they're just ready to do whatever it takes to hurt him. Even if that means hurting the ONLY friend he has. But I think it was more about Teddy wanting to win and hold up his pride and reputation and Gramma just wanting to beat somebody up because he's a sadistic douche.

jonny chan says it really happened.
Well, it's not a true story, but for sure Chan and Doyle, and probably other old timers witnessed or were in similar situations.
Doyle said that he once had a gun pointed to his head in a poker game.
