Even when watching the movie I sort of lol'ed at the amounts they were playing for. When a wannabe professional thinks he's on the edge of the world with 10k and thinks that he can prove how awesome he is over 100 hands and 1 BI is lolol.

It's a cool movie. Face it...professional poker of the more economically viable kind that is the norm today ain't good TV.
12 hours of clickage.
Sleep untill noon.
Order food in.
Sleep some more.
12 hours of clickage.
Not too mention that mere mortals would never understand what the hell was going on on the screen, so all you would really get was a guy who had problems with his girlfriend and borrowed some money from an old geezer. And at the end of the movie he clicks like a madman before he laughs loudly...alone.
The end.

Another funny thing. He tells about sitting with Chan in a 300/600 game with $6k. Folding for half an hour and then bluffing Chan PF? WTF, didn't know you can bluff with less then 10BB
Though its still is a great movie.

That's the bottom line. For all its faults, it is still excellent and it deals with the poker side of things way better than any other poker movie I can think of. Better still, loads of my non-poker playing friends love it showing it has great universal value.
Having recently seen Lucky You and that truly awful TV series 'Tilt', they remind me just how good Rounders is compared to everything else about poker.
