If you have a punt at what his hand is in the chat window on every hand, eventually you'll get one right..............

Also, it's probably not that hard to call 60 into a pot of 760 and keep him honest is it?

hahaha, I swear to god I knew I'd get crap for the way I played the hand still. (Yes the whole hand including bet sizing is weird!)

This was a DS to the sunday mill, thought I'd play to pickup the easy T$215. I basically, did alot of limping/small raising in the early levels. It wasn't turbo, the players were pretty bad, and I didn't feel the need or find it necessary to open raise this particular tournament.

Which is why although I put him on A-Q for the most part,I only flatted the flop to take a card off, why i only raised small on the turn, and river is nearly always a just call despite the obvious blocker.

Good point geno too, I do venture guesses more than most. I think I have a reasonable ratio though.Although what is a good ratio ?

I don't think there is a 'good' ratio - I'd take a ratio of 1 in 100 if the 1 were always an important hand.

huh?

There's different reasons for raising pre-

- To steal blinds/antes
- To have the betting lead
- To thin the field and likewise thin a players hand range
- To enforce a mistake on an opponents behalf.
- To build a juicy pot

Only reason I do a few less raises in this particular tournament is,(although first of all this is only during the 10-20,15-30 and MAYBE 25-50 level.) is cos I didnt think it was necessary to do in order to progress to the next round. I was content to play cheap flops with these players. It's probably not conventional way to play the early levels of these things, but everyone has their own ideas etc..and 1 thing I heard awhile back on some video which stuck is. When it's your action in tournament poker, ask yourself is this play needed or necessary to win this tournament?

With tiny blinds, I felt it wasn't necessary.

ye but all these things r necessary to accumulate more cihps and therefore raising is amore +ev play in general. i mean its a 4$ tourney u think if u raise the buton theyre gonna fold their K9 and stack off on a K hi flop? god no they havea pair... but u get like 1/10 the chips if u limp
