Trees, cars, houses, banks, stores, churchs, schools, fire departments, police departments and mostly dumbass drivers.

Welcome to my part of the world.

I usually drive to work before my first cup of coffee. Don't really see anything. Or, I see stuff but just don't remember.

Most pointless/embarrassing way to die:
Crashing through the central reservation into an oncoming lorry at 70 because you were trying to photograph a Little Chief for someone you’ve never even met.

That said, photos to come soon.

Okay I realized that I don't have a camera I really want to be snapping pictures of, so I've decided to tell my route to school and back through google images.

This should obviously work better.

Okay. I live just north of
Image
in a little suburb of 300,000 people called
Image.
Ethnically, the area is majorly
Image
Since I'm just north of the city, I haveta
Image
through the bitter Canadian summers until I reach my
Image
In my entire end of the suburb, there is literally only one pair of
Image but they live under the Image I haveta cross so I usually toss them a couple Image.

Now that I've suitably frozen my ass off for 20-30 minutes waiting for my Image it finally comes on and I pay my $2.75.

The bus is usually smelly and takes me to my appropriately diverse university. Here is an approximation. Image Unfortunately my bus is usually Imagewith lots of Image (people, you stupid racists!).

The double whammy is that my school is literally in toronto's worst Image so people generally rush home.

Ok I didn't see where she wanted pictures (crap why is it always me?).

Anyhow here goes.

Ok so I get out and leave my house. I live on a ground floor of one of these apartments.

Next I travel in my

Image

I pass a few not so interesting places on my way to the office and my drive is less then 10 minutes. But I pass this place...

Image

I also pass this place on my way to work.

Image

Outside our office is a small section of timber and scrub. Often we will look out and see ...

Image

I am just so happy they taste good because I got one during deer season..(Yes I eat Bamby and the little guy is freaking tasty as hell.. ).

During the day I have to drive to make one pickup and delivery for the company...it takes me past these places..

Image

Such a lovely man made creation to look at compared to the ugly old woods and fields that used to be here (BIG bit of sarcasm there).

and this place.

These are the residents and owners of this ecological disaster.

Image

They felt guilty for taking out all the wild lands so they devoted some nive green spots to be taken over by the native grasses. Screw the trees they said though.

Generally, I see this Image
for about an hour, then this (sometimes I have to see this twice during my inbound trip) Image
Then I'm at the office.
On my way home, just reverse it.
My entire drive with the exception of my driveway and the road where my office is located is entirely interstate.

My drive is boring with the exception of the occasional blue-hair that cuts across 4 lanes of traffic going 20 mph on the interstate. Seriously, the trees are lovely in the median during fall and spring, but other than that, it's pretty lame.

My walk out to the heliport can be quite cold this time of year, but the heli warms up rather quickly. As I rise just above tree level, downtown Minneapolis arises on the horizon. Once I get to cruising elevation, I can see my destination, the quaint city of Saint Paul.

My flight traverses over rolling hills until I reach the bluffs and cliffs carved by the might of the Mississippi river. I wind along her gentle shores for just a few quick miles until St Paul emerges from her dramatic banks.

In the city it is just a short 2-3 blocks to my downtown heliport.

My house is the one on the left. My route to work, well get out a map of the US and you get the idea.
