Should i get Super System
I have read great things about this book and am about ready to purchase it but i want to know if i am a beginner and if i will find this book confusing. I play hold'em no limit all the time with friends, lose most, win a couple, but i can bluff, see bluffs, and get fooled like the best of them. i know the rules obviously and have a sense at what to do but i don't know if i should still consider myself a beginner. i was thinking about buying Texas Hold'em or whatever by Sklantzy (Spelling??) but i read it is not an easy read and poorly written so i don't want to read a little bit and put it away b/c i get bored with it. i think i know enough to buy Super System but i just want to make sure. like i said i play all the time, bluff, see bluffs, and of course get fulled by them but i can never make it to the end. i always come in second or third (out of like 5 or more people) so i think this book will give me the edge. anyone have any experiences with this book. good or bad. i will take any help. thank you.
P.S. does anyone have an info/experience with Super System 2???.

I don't think supersystem II is out yet, but I'm looking forward to it. More contributions from the original crew, with some added stuff by Chan and some others, and supposedly "new games," which probably means a section on Omaha and Omaha 8/b (it BETTER mean that, dammit!)
As for the original..
I think it's a great read, but if you're a beginner, I wouldn't recommend it as a first book on the game. It's great to get inside the head of a pro, and hear his thought processes; almost invaluable. The odds sections are quite nice, but for the most part, it's discussion of the game at a level that assumes you already have a fairly firm grasp of the basics.
Also, if you try to play like Doyle suggests, and you aren't that good, you will get annihilated, except you will get annihilated much faster than you used to. Doyle teaches an extremely aggressive style, and if you couple that with a lack of experience, you will go broke faster than you could ever imagine.
I haven't read Sklansky/Malmuth stuff yet (I know, sacrelige around here,) but I hear great things. Lee Jones' "Winning Low Limit Hold'Em" is pretty good, and if you're concerned with how easy a read it is, it doesn't get much lighter than Jones.

Well thats the thing....
first off thank you u cleared some stuff up for me. but the thing is i don't know if i am a beginner or not. i don't know wat would be so confusing but if u could like ask me what does so and so mean and an excerpt or something that could help me understand why its so hard to read then i would understand you. Also what do u mean the basics?? i don't think you are talking about rules or simple things like that but i don't know what u mean at all. and i know about Doyles aggressive type of plays so i understand what u mean there. I heard to many bad things about Hellmuth's books to want to buy it. especially that i can easily buy Super System and that book is so much better. if you guys could just clear up my new questions that would be great. and i don't know if i said but i am focusing on No limit Texas Hold'em. i know super system is a bunch of games but i do play those games as well sometimes andi heard Doyles Hold 'em section is better than most of the books that are out on it.
