Size consistency of dice/suited chips from 5star???

Postby Guest » Sun Jul 11, 2004 8:40 pm GMT

Hi, can someone who has a set of the 5star dice/suited 11.5g chips tell me if they are consistent in size (diameter, thickness), both within color and across colors? I have samples coming from different vendors but just realized that samples won't really answer this question for me.

I am somewhat anal and want to make sure that equal numbered stacks are always exactly the same size, before I order a full set.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Perhaps the only way to insure a consistent thickness/diameter is with the chips made in the USA. As far as I know, the dice and pretty much every other plastic-metal insert chip comes from overseas. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure they aren't too worried about consistent thickness and diameter when making lots of a million.

There are some good vendors stateside who are probably more capable at consistency than mass production in China. The old addage, "you get what you pay for."

I have the 11.5g Striped Dice chips and they are consistent in size. I bought them from 5stardeal.com.

I bought a second set. They should arrive in a few hours. I am hoping they are the same colors and everything I can use both sets together.
