Skill level of 1/2 cent
Does anyone else play 1/2 cent cash?
I was just wondering because lately the people I've been seeing in game are making me want to get to higher stakes. I'm hoping that the play at higher stakes will be a little more consistent.

I quatro it, but ill take a stab
I play micros. (.01/.02)
consistent, I think is where you need to elaborate.
It is loose at the micros, as you increase in blinds the game does get tighter.

This old myth.
The secret to beating .01/.02 is to raise big preflop when you have premium hands. Setmine in position.
the standard 4xbb raise preflop doesn't cut it at that level. you have to make it 8x to 12x and make sure you are 3betting your premium hands.
Take away their mathematical odds and you will be fine.

How does 3 betting in a situation where no one folds a profitable strategy?
My approach to this limit is to trap and try to hit a monster.
No bluffing. I will C bet one time and if it doesn't work, I give up unless my hand improves.
I will also position bet, but no blatant bluffs.

3 betting
You have KK. Villain AQ
Villain bets .08
Hero reraises to .50
Flop 72Q
take him to value town.
by 3betting to .50 you are taking away implied odds for someone playing PP. It is no longer profitable for them to setmine.
or you could just push all-in preflop.
If I have time tomorrow I might make a video.

This doesnt make sense to me, maybe the video would help.
If Im the villain Im folding
I use the standard 3x-4x and have made 12 in to 24 in about 80 hands give or take. I can think of a few trap hands were multi payered that helped.
Im with brucio on this

when I first started playing no one folded either.
Hes pretty new to the game, angles he doesnt see can make him think no one folds.
Thats where Im coming from. They fold alot less in micros, but I think thats the topic of this post.
As limits go up the play gets tighter.
Your example makes sense if that person WONT fold!

your betting off to NOT play the .01/.02 rings
if your that low in Bankroll either go work at McDonald's or play every freeroll the site has to offer.
your not going to make much playing that ring table and if you do a little math you would see freerolls are more +EV then .01/.02 ring.
I can understand new players who cash out in 74th in a freeroll wanting go hit the cash tables and double up, double up and double up to finally have $5 but all it takes is getting cracked once.
Players at those tables are poor and you won't learn anything by playing at such a low level.
I've had a few nights playing after a few beers and went down to micro tables just to fook around and have busted Aces with 72 just because losing $2 didn't mean anything, but it did to him after I flop 2 pair.
winning poker is about bankroll management and patience

jesus come on I taught 3 of my friends to beat 2nl in a month or so, it just takes a small bit of practice and some common sense. and it definitely will help ur game, something that would be a more negative experience is play money.
