Edge spots wearing down!?!? I have no clue what he's talking about.
My Skulls have been used for several months now and there's no visible wear on the chip whatsoever... so I dunno what he means by that. The Sands are the same chip so there should be no difference.

The skulls dont do it,im talking about the edge spots. The edge spots on the top part of the sands wear down.I have 25 100's and the yellow part rubs off on several of the chips. The skulls however have no visable wear and are excellent chips.

Okay, well I have 60 Desert Sands $100 chips that have been used in several tournaments and are shuffled daily by myself, and there is no wear whatsoever on them. The only way I have found you can damage an NJ chip is to throw it on concrete or rub an edge against the face really hard.

I'm going to add my two cents.
People seem to either really like the NJ skull logo or really don't.
I personally like it. If thats the case than I think it comes down to a case of if you are an edgespot guy or a logo guy. The Desert Sands have the better edgespots and look more like traditional chips, the Skulls have a cooler logo
I actually voted NJ skulls, even though I just bought the Desert sands. I came to that decision on two basis.
1.) Group buy price of .40 is just a rediculous deal for those chips
2.) There was a $1000 chip in the Desert Sands. I went with a $25, 100, 500 and 1000 combination ($.25, 1.00, 5, 10 actual value for games) The 50 1000 I ordered will be useful in the higher end games I play in so we wont have to change cash to chips as often.
