I'm going to be there in a few weeks, anyone happen to have any info about the casino or players for me?

Seemed like a nice enough place, didn't get much of a feel. Entered an NZD$100 tournament which had about 40 runners.

3K chips, blinds 25/50 to start. Misplayed a flopped top pair with flush draw to shorten my stack. In the second level (50/100), check-raised a guy who seemed decent, but would overplay hands (hence the check-raise) all-in with top two (KJ).

Needless to say, he spiked a 10 on the river to get a set. Oh well, I guess we've identified two people won't be cashing tonight.

My own fault, totally misplayed that hand as well. Maybe next time, I'll go there first, before being so run down by the couple of weeks of travel beforehand.

Star City in Sydney. Not been to Melbourne, don't know about the Crown (other than what I saw on Aussie Millions).

Star City seemed to have quite a bit of action the times I was there, and it was loose and fast. TBH, that was over a year ago though.
