So close in another freeroll
I qualified in the first tourney (top 100 which wasnt hard to do) which put me into the 2500 prize pool tourney. Its down to 57 people and the top 50 get paid. Im above the average with chips. So one guy at my table is raising every time and everyone is folding because they dont want to get knocked out right before the money. Its my big blind and I have Ks, Js. This guy raises again for like the 7th time in a row, everyone but me folds. Im not going to let him buy my big blind. I reraise him figuring he will just fold. He calls. Flop K,7,J rainbow
I raise he goes all in, I figure he is just trying to scare me because he has more chips and wont go out even if he loses. I call with top 2 pair. turn Q. River doesnt matter. He had K,Q. I went out in 57th just out of the money. Ill get em next time.

unluckly mate
i found this quite frustrating myself on ultimate bet
i was 47th last week and because i was in the top 50 - got into the next round for the aruba trip (came 34th which was ok:))
when it was down to the last 150 to about 50 members the number of people with away or who simply folded was shocking - there was have been a select few who made a packet out of the blinds at this point simply because no one wanted to be risked being kicked out

that gets really annoying. When really they are only shooting themselves in the foot. By the time its 50 people left and they are in the money they are going to have no chips left because the blinds ate away at them and they won no pots cause they folded every hand. I would rather have a fighting chance of getting first place then go into the money with enough chips for 2 big blinds. I play the way i normally do or a bit more aggressive usually, when it gets down to the wire. My aim is to make the top 50 as one of the chip leaders and walk away with a few hundred bucks, not $10. I would rather walk away with nothing knowing i tried then 10 bucks by folding.

i suppose its a little different as it was the first person won money and all 50 just got a ticket to the next round
but its still frustrating - especially since a lot of people were just leaving their computers. So like in any given hand there would be about 4 or 5 players who you had to wait the full 30 seconds or whatever for them to respond
