So heres the deal
Im holding A/Ko on the button and raise naturally. Everyone folds at the table except 2.
Flop: QQ10
Turn: 10
River: 5
There is no threat of a flush draw, but here is where my question is.
I end up checking on the river because I figure that I just have the best kicker. Is this wrong? Im assuming that from the way the player to the left was betting that he had made his boat.
Anyway we show down and I take down the pot. Afterward this guy is yelling at me (online) that I was an idiot.
I will admit that im pretty new to the game, and I know that I still have alot to learn. But did I really play this poorly?
Thanks.

In addition to the action on each street Sup asked for you should also include:
-What position each player was in.
-Their table image and their perception of you
-What your thought process was on each street, i.e. what you put them on, what you though they had you on, why you checked/bet/called/raised/folded, what cards you considered good/bad/blank on the turn and river.
In short you need to be aware that poker is very complicated. The information you failed to consider import has provided you with some great analysis here about your game, don’t ignore it.
If I was you I'd leave this hand and go read up, then come back and look at the post again after a couple of books. If you don't laugh, read some more.

a) Maybe you should raise unnaturally to throw them off their game.
b) Who cares what somebody said?
That being said, it's good that you show interest in questioning your game, and wanting to learn more. As Muck said, with a little more experience, you'll likely look back at this and laugh.
