Specific Hand Question
i'm sitting here writing up a question regarding playing K-7 suited in late position, and i catch the hand. no bullshit. so as I'm making this post I'm simultaneously playing this hand in a 9-handed scenario. I'm sitting right around buy-in levels on chips, its still rather early. Blinds are in the 25/50 neighborhood. action folds to me, i decide to limp in with the hand, all the while telling myself i burnt a big blind and it's a donkey move. Obviously I'm folding to a big raise here but miraculously they let me see cards. I end up catching the full house and taking down a monster pot. question being, how often are you guys playing less then ideal hands or less then ideal positions (or perhaps a combination of the two) to see some action? does cold card provoke this type of reaction? is this a tilt move or a calculated wager?

Well, that's not really an easy question to answer. A lot of factors go into how you play a hand. Just for starters:
1. What are your cards?
2. What is your position?
3. How many chips do you have in relation to the blinds?
4. How many players are in the hand?
5. How many chips do the other players have?
6. How have the other players been playing?
7. How do the other players perceive you?
8. What kind of play do you expect there to be after the flop?
9. Are you first in the pot, or is it multiway?
10. Has the pot been raised?
Those are not the ONLY questions you need to address, but it's a start. Whether calling with [Kh 7h] is a calculating move or monkey-tilt depends largely on the answers to those questions.
For instance, if the pot has been unraised, 2 or 3 players have already called the blind, you are in late position, you have a large amount of chips relative to the blinds (and so do several other players), and there is unlikely to be a large raise behind you, then playing [Kh 7h] is not really a bad play. In fact, it can be a pretty good play depending on the exact circumstances.
However, if the pot was raised by the first player to act (under the gun), you are next to act, the blinds are 25/50 (let's say the first player raised to 175), and you have only 1000 chips, calling with [Kh 7h] is a terrible play.
