Table money question

Hi guys, just want to say that I love this forum and all the information/help you give!

Anyway, I have a pretty simple question.

I was wondering how much money I should sit down at a 4/8LH table at the casino? I've got about 500 dollars right now just to use for poker.

Bankroll management should be your first issue. You are quite under rolled for a 4/8 game. People reckon you need at least 300 big bets (300 x $8 in your case) to play in a limit holdem game which is $2400. Personally, I think you should have more than that.

To answer your question though, you should sit with enough to play every street for a cap. Generally betting is capped at 4 bets. Which is 4 small bets preflop and flop and 4 big bets turn and river. So basically $96.

yeah $200 or $250 is about the right spot for 4/8

with $300 for 5/10fl with a kill.
