Taj Saturday Tournament

I just heard Taj has a new Saturday morning no limit holdem tournament at 11am (also on Sundays). Has anyone played in this tournament yet? I was wondering how many people are usually in the field?

Also on a side note, how do tournaments like this with a big field usually give out seat assignments? For example if I register at the same time as my friends, are we going to be at the same table? I say this because I played in satellites to the Long Island Poker Championship 2 weeks ago who did it like this, and was sitting at a table with 3 best friends. Totally Ridiculous!!! I doubt the Taj will let this happen, but am still interested in how how they do it?

I've played in the Sunday tourney twice. They get about 150 - 200 entrants. Registration starts 2 hours before the 11:15 start and they do get a line. If you are playing in a live game at the time, they'll sign you up while you are at the table. You also need to have a Trop Poker card < which is different than the Trop Diamond card > for entry into the tourney, so leave time to get that done. As for seat assignments, they are assigned randomly. The blinds go up pretty quick - usually you get about one orbit per level, so be ready to gamble.
