Texas holdem play

Postby fernando » Fri Oct 03, 2003 9:13 am GMT

:?: Question have been playing Texas Holdem with friends. The other Night we had a hand that caused confussion?

Player A: Was delt 7 & A Player B: Was 7 & 10

Community Cards where: 7 & K & 4 & 7 & K

We know both players had a Full House but who wins?

A. Do you split the Pot
B. Do you go to the Kicker Card in each player Hand?
Please explain why?

Thank you, Fern Dog :!:

In holdem you always make your hand with the five best cards and ignore the other two. When you look at your hands this way you both had 777KK or sevens full of kings. You ignore the other two cards, the A4 for person A and the T4 for person B. Thusly you would split the pot.
