Tough to lay down, but you had to be leary of the boat. He liked the flop and was not scared of the flush on the turn. Check-Call / Check-Call / All-in is a power move...

Was there any delay in his action or were they insta-calls? Did you have any read on him before the hand?

A flush draw on a paired board is a situation where you really need to concentrate on controlling pot size. Check/fold the flop because if he bets here it will almost always be at least an Ace( or a bluff). If he does have an ace, that means your way behind and he has about as many outs to have you drawing dead as you do to make your flush. Once you make the flush on the turn you can either check and call a small bet or make a small blocking bet and fold to a big raise. Same on the river. This is one of those situations where you will win a small pot or loose a big one so your mission should be to either keep the pot small or fold and get on with the next hand.

Reverse implied odds - go have a read for future hands like this.

A quick question, what did you think he had on the flop when he called you?
