The Raisin Room - Daily games near Toronto (Mississauga)

Postby theraisin » Mon Jun 13, 2005 4:22 pm GMT

We are a newly established room with a casual and easy going atmoshphere and friendly ownership located in central Mississauaga near the QEW and we are accepting new members. We have tournaments three nights a week and cash games everyday. Our schedule is below:

Sundays at 3:00pm - $125 buy in Texas Hold Em Tournament (entry fee includes a $25 bounty). $125 gets you 2000 in chips we $40 re-buys for the first hour for 2000 more chips and a $40 add-on at the start of the second hour for 4000 more chips.

We are also trying to deal 7 card stud on Sundays if there is enough interest.

Tuesdays at 8:00pm - $200 buy-in gets you $2000 in chips, rebuys are $75 for 2000 for the first hour and there is one $75 add-on for 4000 in chips at the start of the second hour

Thursdays at 8:00pm - We run one table freeze out tournaments ranging in buy-in from $40 up.

Fridays at 8:00pm - We have a scheduled big cash game that is 20/40 or higher or 10/20 no limit or higher.

We also run live games everyday of all types starting as early at 1:00 pm.

yes we run regular live games as low as 3/6 or sometimes even 2/4. Also I forgot to mention that all the events are catered and we provide free soft drinks and snacks and do regular food runs for playing customers.

Membership is free and rakes are as follows:

2/4 - 3/6 - 10% to a $3 max
5/10 & 1/2 NL - 10% to a $5 max
10/20 or higher (includes higher NL games) - 5% to a $7 max
Tournaments we take 15-20 points depending on how many entries, all our rates are up to par with the other undergrounds or lower.

Fridays we try to hold bigger games but we will deal anything the players want to play, including 1/2 no limit with a $100 max (which would probably be the smallest NL game) but we will even deal 2/4 limit, no problem at all. We have four tables so we can accomodate anyone.

should I call ahead and see what games you have going on a certain night or is there generally a 1/2 NL game going on.

It's always good to call ahead and see what we have going but like I said we try to cater to our players so if you want a 1/2 NL game we'll try to get one going. NL is pretty popular now a days so I don't think you will have trouble sitting in on one. This Friday we will be trying to deal a 10/20 and a 3/6 or a 1/2 NL on the second table, but that is up to the players aswell.

General Info

Postby robdaslob1 » Sat Jun 18, 2005 4:20 pm GMT

Evidently interest in the new club is high. I just have some general questions.

1. What is the address of the Raisin Room?
2. Is there an age limit (i.e. 13+, 16+, 19+)?
(I myself am a 17 year old hold 'em convert and know many others.)
3. Do you have a website?

Thanks,

Rob

Give us a call to get the address 647-892-5549 and we don't allow minors you have to be 19 to enter.

It depends on what players prefer, but generally for a 10 person tourney it is

1st - 50%
2nd - 20%
3rd - 10% (entry fee returned)
House - 10%
