The wonderful StarlightCoast
Hi guys,
This is just a heads up. I am an avid follower of StarlightCoast's blog. You may remember him as the complete and utter dilluded idiot who thinks he has any chance at poker. When his wife that he met online was pretty much dying he was her full time carer. Despite this fact he managed to play poker at the shittest stakes humanly possible for 14 hours a day. He said his wife was 110% behind him so she was probably as dilluded as him. She is dead now and is clearly in a better place.
I got hold of his new blog address because to be quite honest I find his life quite hilarious. That's a bit mean but I tried to help him once and realised I was completley wasting my time.
This is his new blog.
http://professionalroads.blogspot.com/
He is perhaps one of the most incredible degenerates that has graced this earth which is why I read it with such excitement.
Anyway, things have sunk to a new low. His wife died probably around a month ago. He went up to f*ck knows where with $800 and a dream, lost it all and decided he was going to live like a tramp in a tent.
Anyway, this is his new blog entry.
Well a new chapter may be beginning here. I've been down this road before and I know the situation can change almost day to day, but if all goes according to plan I will be heading to West Virginia within 3 weeks. Met this woman in an online chatroom this past Saturday. Had her Yahoo info within 90 minutes, her cell number within 3 days and by day 5 we were planning on me moving to West Virginia and that's where the plan is at right now. Glad to know I have not lost the touch with the ladies.
I'll keep you updated.
Just as a side note, he f*cked off and didn't even pay for the "love of his life's" funeral.
So anyway, all I would like to say and before you come on here Starlight because I know you still read this and wank if you are mentioned so before you spout anything you can f*ck right off.
I just hope this woman has a bit more sense although clearly not from what you said about AOL chat. No doubt she will have some sort of underlying health condition that you can scrounge off to feed your habit of becoming a professional poker player until she croaks it and you find another.

[00:56] <ciso> You're a scumbag. You disrespected your wife not even giving her a proper funeral, you prolly mooched off her for years not even taking care of her while play micro stakes and proly made nothing or if u did it was pittance.
[00:56] <ciso> Now you go after another woman online and wanna see her after 5 days of talking annonymously online, you make me sick. I have friends in poker who read this and i used to defend u,until i found out your wife died and how you handled it after. It showed your true colors.
[00:56] <ciso> I dont wish any ill fate on you even tho your a disgustingly low human being, cos its not my place to judge and I proly shudnt even have commented now but I felt compelled to.
[00:56] <ciso> Good luck in your life and travels.

Re: The wonderful StarlightCoast
I too have been following the fascinating tale that Jimbo has been describing for the past few months and years and the most recent entries have really been very enlightening.
There have always been a lot of instances where he has described himself as a 'professional poker player' but even I didn't think that given recent events he would be this much of a delusional degenerate. The definition of 'professional' means that your income is derived from the activity. While poker may have been the only 'job' he ever did, it certainly didn't generate an income, let alone a living.
I mean, who takes their last $800 and heads to the casino to try and grind out a living? Even someone who could actually play poker could see that it's a terrible idea but this guy has never made anything close to what someone could call a living from the game. Disability payments have provided his income for years and even if poker has provided the odd extra little thing, we are talking minor $$$ earnt at best.
I think the final straw with me thinking he was a normal human being was when the new game plan once the $800 was lost was to live rough, beg for money and upon having scraped together a tournament buy-in, that would be where the money went. I mean really, if that isn't degenerate addiction I don't know what is. Food or gambling, where should I spend my last dime?
God forbid he should get a job. Yes, he has his own health issues in the shape of a bad leg or something but there are a TON of ways to make a living working from home by putting in some actual hard work. That concept seems to be utterly lost on Jimbo. He really is an utter, utter f*ckwit and whatever befalls him will be of his own making and richly deserved.

Wow. Just wow. I hadn't followed him too closely, but what I had read, I felt that he was only delusional in his thinking that playing those micros could provide even the simplest "living" for a person, and that he wasn't truly harming anyone outside his family.
But this wording... "Had her info within 90 minutes...", et cetera. Pretty creepy, worded as if he were (consciously or not) preying on this new person. What's next, bragging about how little time it took to become a co-signer on her bank account?
I still hold out a glimmer of hope that he's not really a predator and just worded things badly, but it's not looking good.

LOL. I read this post because I thought Starlight Coast was a casino out in Sumerlin near LV. I'm heading there in March.
Don't all of us have our delusions?

Logged into PS the other day. Found 3 bucks left in the account. Got it up to 12.50 playing the $.25 cent 90 man STG's. I bet SLC would think i'm a poker god.

I've always thought of you as a poker god.

The delusional blog is back. Here's a good nugget:
"I've been playing poker for 7 years, always did well enough for what Becci and I needed and wanted and for us that was good enough."
Amazing

I guess it would be good enough for them if all you wanted was a joint, a 2 liter of mountain dew, and some cheese doodles.

I see thing haven't changed that much while I've been away. Starlight was always delusional. I play online every day because I'm a slacker with a part-time job who has time to play in the afternooon. I guess that makes me a pro.

Wenchie!!!
Hooorrrraaayyyy. Wenchie is back. Maybe this will halt the slide in activity. Come to think of it, our active participation started to drop off right about the time that Wenchie took a break.

Re: The wonderful StarlightCoast
Thanks for the warm welcome! I didn't take a break from poker, but my life changes kept me from my normal routine of reading and posting on my forums. Instead of lunch breaks now I'm home working out (I'm almost back into those size 6 jeans!) and doing actual domesticated woman stuff. I'm such a grown-up now. Of course, I'm drunk on the weekends - surprise, surprise! - and I'm out on the water whenever the weather permits. Ironically, I play more online now than ever, but don't come here which makes no sense. This place is what has kept me playing and actually cashing out winnings instead of having to re-deposit for the last few years.

There's a lot to be said for simplicity; Thoreau had it right.
However, in Starlight's case, I think Felting needs to make that, "or", not "and". Probably an exclusive or.
